India said on Friday that “It is time Pakistan accepts the reality on Kashmir and stop misleading the world.”
India while accusing Islamabad of trying to present a very alarming picture of bilateral relations to the world said, “There is a feeling that Pakistan is nervous over India’s initiative in J&K as it thinks it will not be able to mislead people if there is development in Jammu and Kashmir.”
“All actions taken by Pakistan after Centre’s move on Kashmir are unilateral,” said ministry of external affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, adding, “All steps have been taken keeping in mind the best interests of Jammu and Kashmir.”
On Pakistan suspending the Samjhauta Express train service , the external affairs ministry spokesperson said, “It is unfortunate and we regret it.”
He said India has expressed regret over Paksitan’s actions and has urged Islamabad to reconsider its unilateral decisions.
The MEA spokesperson said that India has briefed a number of foreign governments and international organistaions and told them that whatever we have done in Jammu and Kashmir completely relates to our internal affairs.
On consular access to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, he said: “We are in touch with Pakistan.”
His remarks come days after the Indian government scrapped special status for Jammu and Kashmir and split it into two Union territories.
